American policy makers are now facing the Asif question. The question of Asif Ali Zadari - widower of Benazir Bhutto - and his being odds-on favorite in this weekend’s election to become Pakistan’s next president. With recent revelations about the reportedly rather tenuous state of Mr. Zardari’s mental health, the Asif question has become quite pressing indeed.
