Gov. Deval L. Patrick’s stirring address in Denver on Aug. 26 spotlighted Massachusetts’ commitment to learning. He used the national podium to highlight the cornerstone of a strong American future: education for all. More important, Mr. Patrick and Bay State legislators backed that commitment with action when universal preschool for Massachusetts children was signed into law. Perkins School for the Blind applauds the speech, as well as the law that gives very young children access to education
