Worth While
I’m in the mist of very special and top secret events for Kyle’s birthday (which is today…happy birthday babe), But I wanted to post about this website before I forgot.
Worth While is a shop on King street in Charleston, South Carolina, But they have the sweetest little online store. It’s good thing I no […]

But think of the children
I’ve been biting my tongue on the education funding issue for some time now, it’s an issue where I agree with too few locals to even bother with, but it’s really getting silly now. I just noticed on the Whos of Who-cester blog another call for more ‘strongly worded letters’, as if the solution to Worcester’s problems is paper cuts for politicians. Unfortunately things are starting to get disingenuous at an exponential rate and positive arguments are lining up to do more harm than good.
Over there Tracy writes:
At-Large Councilor Rick Rushton. His request that the School Department find five new places to cut spending make one wonder if he’s been anywhere near a school budget over the past six years. One suspects not. He’s standing in front of a skeleton, trying to cut more fat. It isn’t there.
Are you telling me there is not one no-show job in the [...]

What makes this confusing is it seems if we were to shutter the airport today we would be about 9 million in the hole to the FAA. Call me crazy but if we have a 9 mill balance sheet with the feds instead of taking another 10 might it make more sense to [...]

Gory details of death truly appalling
I was appalled to read a news story by Shaun Sutner (Telegram & Gazette, April 9). Why he felt that he needed to include the gory details of Bruce Smick’s death in his article is beyond me. Doesn’t he realize that Mr. Smick has family members who were left behind and had to relive all that pain caused by his words?

‘Polemic’ is far off the mark concerning Obama’s religion
There is something obnoxious (and dangerous) about people who try to influence an election by surreptitiously spreading lies. Those tactics become more dangerous when there are large groups of people who want to believe the lies.

Ill-advised measure
At a time when Massachusetts’ economic well-being depends on promoting private-sector growth, a legislative committee’s plan to micromanage sick-leave policy in the private sector is ill-conceived.

The right ruling
The Supreme Court Monday took another step toward protecting the integrity of the nation’s elections by upholding an Indiana law that requires voters to show a photo ID.
