Massachusetts residents need some tax breaks
I wish our senators and state representatives would stop raising taxes and fees for a little while. Couldn’t they just wait until we get out of this economic down-turning spiral? Tax plastic bags? Wall Street to blame for rising oil prices
It’s not speculation if it’s a sure thing: Wall Street has been bidding up the price of oil futures for a while, as they speculate on how much oil we’ll use in future months. Most of us must use about the same amount of fuel every month, with small variations. We can only turn down the thermostat and minimize mileage to a point.

While reading an article about Joan and Robert Culbert’s immigration to the United States of America (Telegram & Gazette, March 16), I wondered if I was alone in my surprise to read about a successful example of immigration.
