In 1971, the American Antiquarian Society purchased the Goddard-Daniels house in Worcester and expanded across Salisbury Street. Seven years ago, the AAS undertook another major expansion that included construction of a parking lot in what was the backyard of a private residence on Regent Street it purchased to use for offices. It now proposes to further expand by purchasing an adjacent residence at 1 Montvale Road to house researchers and build a 20-car parking lot in its backyard.
