I found Terrance Ingano’s article, “God or medicine in old-time Clinton?” (Telegram & Gazette, Feb. 12) an interesting one. Mr. Ingano described a 1903 Clinton Courant story about a young man, Leonard Russell, who passed away after an illness. Mr. Russell and his family were Christian Scientists. The unnamed reporter from the Courant interviewed Mr. Russell’s mother, and his account of the mother’s response to his inquiries and her letter to the editor that was published a week lat
