I tried to explain google docs/wikis to someone who is doing a group writing project. Here’s a lot easier way to explain it.

Second Amendment diminished, restricted

So the Telegram & Gazette has magnanimously decided that there should be provisions for access to firearms for legitimate sporting purposes and for responsible individuals with demonstrable compelling need. Once again, the leper of the Bill of Rights, the Second Amendment, is being shunned. If these provisions were equally applied to the hallowed and sacrosanct First Amendment, I wonder exactly how the T&G would demonstrate compelling need - to publish “The Family Circus.”

Buying a car is a taxing proposition

Are we overtaxed? Is our government too big? We pay multiple taxes on everything. Just to buy a car we pay. On each dollar we work to earn we pay or our employer pays 16 different taxes, fees, registration or tolls. We pay federal income tax on the money we earn to afford the vehicle as well as state income tax. We pay Social Security tax on the money we earn. We pay Medicare tax on the money we earn.
