The NCLB Act in Worcester, or Caradonio as Lord Roundheels
This is from a paper I wrote recently for a class I’m taking. Thus the prose is a little, well, heavy-handed. It suffers from a controlling metaphor the way a Jewish (or Irish, or Polish…) teenager suffers from a controlling mother. Partly it’s a response to the article from http://www.educationnext.org cited below. Partly it’s just an examination of what happens when a noble profession is reduced to the level of harlotry.
